From the late 1960’s Mackenzie High School had a teacher lead after school outdoor activity group called Trekkers. The group would learn many outdoor skills and take part on may outdoor adventures including rock climbing, snow shoeing, hiking, and canoeing.

With permission from the school we have digitized the book and made it available for you in a FB album: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?vanity=Schoolhouse.Museum.Ottawa.Valley&set=a.4818758081486662
What a wonderful initiative to preserve and showcase the
history of the Upper Ottawa Valley! The School House Museum
is a treasure trove of stories, artifacts, and experiences that bring
the past to life. I appreciate the efforts to digitize exhibits through the Digital Museum of Canada, making it accessible to a wider audience.
The virtual tours and activities at home are great resources for those who can’t visit in person. I’m looking forward to exploring more
about the community stories and the history of the former townships.
Keep up the fantastic work!
